The main character Howard from The Kid in the Red jacket really changed my heart because he showed me how hard it is to move from a place you really love and how hard it would be to leave a lot behind. He also changed my thinking that something so little can turn into something so big and to never lose hope. For example when he was being mean just a little bit to Molly it turned into something so big but he said sorry and pushed it all behind because his lesson was that he noticed everything was going to be okay and he never lost hope. Molly also changed my heart. She also changed my head because I really looked at her differently after finding out what’s going on with her and she never really gave up, she was always happy about something or very open about ideas. The life lesson I learned is to never be afraid about what other people think of me.
